The United States is ramping up its military presence in the Caribbean region, with ten fighter jets being deployed to join a fleet of warships in the mission to dismantle drug cartels.
International news outlets yesterday reported that the Donald Trump administration ordered the deployment of ten F-35 fighter jets to a Puerto Rico airfield, and they will be added to the US military presence in the southern Caribbean.
Citing two sources familiar with the matter, Reuters reported the strike aircraft, including F-35 stealth fighters, are expected to arrive in Puerto Rico next week.
