PLUMES of black smoke were seen billowing over the Port of Spain skyline yesterday which emanated at Tower C of the International Waterfront Centre.
In a statement yesterday, the Urban Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) said that around 2.45 p.m. there was ongoing maintenance works at the International Waterfront Centre when a fire broke out in the heating element of the roofing membrane that is currently being replaced.
Membrane roofing is a type of roofing system used to create a watertight covering to protect the interior of buildings and some vehicles.
