Shirley Chisholm Primary celebrated their fifth straight National Sports Council Pedialyte Sport Primary School Netball title on Thursday with a jubilant motorcade through Vauxhall, Christ Church.
Fresh off their latest championship triumph, the undisputed queens of primary school netball were honoured as they paraded through the community, beginning from the school’s location. Dressed in full netball uniforms and wearing crowns marked with the number five, the players sang, danced, and greeted supporters who lined the route in celebration. Captain Seriah Edwards described the motorcade as the perfect culmination of a season of hard work. “It feels amazing, but it was expected because we put in the effort. It feels sad but also good, knowing I’m moving forward, but I will still continue to play netball for other clubs and schools.”
Principal Donna Franklin described the occasion as an extremely proud moment for the school.
