A special reserve police officer has been arrested and charged following investigations conducted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s Special Victims Department.
The part-time SRP Constable, attached to the Moriah Police Station, was arrested on April 15. He is facing charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment and common assault.
Investigators said that on March 18, the victim—who was in a common-law relationship with the accused at the time—was walking along Village Street, Mt St George when the accused allegedly approached her in a motor vehicle.
