LESS than 24 hours after Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Vice Marahal Darryl Daniel sent commanding officer of the regiment Colonel Keston Charles on 605 days’ leave, the shocking decision has been rescinded.
Senior military and government sources on August 10 confirmed the retroactive decision dated August 8.
On August 9, Charles was instructed to hand over command of the troops in the five army camps to Lt Col Dwayne Edwards at Regiment headquarters, in Port of Spain.
