THE Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Colonel Keston Charles, has been sent on 605 days’ leave with immediate effect by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshal Darryl Daniel, according to senior military officers.
On August 8, Daniel instructed Charles to take all of his outstanding vacation leave effective August 9, according to both government and military sources.
Charles has handed over command of all the troops at the various camps in TT to Lt Col Dwayne Edwards at Regiment Headquarters, in Port of Spain.
