Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will make an official visit to Guyana following discussions with President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, where both leaders agreed on a wide-ranging development, trade and economic agenda aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
The two leaders discussed cooperation across several areas, including food security, investment opportunities, energy integration, technology exchange, human capital development and security. They also agreed on the establishment of a working group to remove barriers to trade and improve competitiveness between the two countries.
The working group will include representatives from the private sectors of both nations and will focus on addressing development challenges and opportunities identified during the discussions.
