Months after a deadly shooting outside the Piarco International Airport prompted a security overhaul, criminals have struck again, this time inside the airport terminal.
At 10p.m. Friday, criminals robbed the Pita Pit outlet inside the airport, making off with cash.
The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) confirmed the robbery and noted that police investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made, and the total amount stolen has not been disclosed.
