Security measures at the Piarco International Airport were strengthened overnight on Friday, following a daring robbery at the Pita Pit in which cash and valuables were stolen at gunpoint.
The Airports Authority of T&T (AATT) yesterday confirmed it had “implemented further measures to reinforce its security systems at the Piarco International Airport” after the robbery that took place around 9.40 pm.
Reports indicate two female employees were at work when a man pretending to be a customer walked up and asked for the price of a Sprite.
