(Kaieteur News) – Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony has commissioned a new $30 million Health Centre and $30 million staff living quarters at Red Hill, Manawarin, Region Two, in a combined $60 million investment.
According to information released by the ministry on Saturday, the facilities will improve access to quality healthcare for approximately 500 residents of Manawarin and surrounding areas, while providing accommodation to support the retention and comfort of healthcare workers serving the community.
The health centre has been elevated to protect it from flooding during periods of high water, given its proximity to the river, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services throughout the year. The facility offers a spacious waiting area and separate male and female washroom facilities to improve patient comfort and accessibility.
