THE Appeal Court has cleared the way for the extradition of a Trinidadian man who is wanted in the United States on multiple charges of drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
This comes after a three-judge panel yesterday dismissed an appeal brought by the man, Shurlan 'Chalkie' Guppy.
He was challenging a previous decision of High Court Justice Ricky Rahim, and by extension, the findings of acting Chief Magistrate Christine Charles that there was sufficient evidence for him to be extradited.
