Authorities are investigating a security-related incident involving a cargo aircraft carrying explosives that landed at Piarco International Airport on Thursday night.
The aircraft, identified as an Antonov An-12BP operated by Cavok Air, reportedly arrived in Trinidad while en route to Libya and stopped to refuel.
According to flight tracking data from Flightradar24.com, the aircraft landed at Piarco at approximately 6:08 p.m. on Thursday after travelling from Nassau, Bahamas. Records showed it had earlier departed from Houston, Texas, in the United States.
