VWSU Extends Support To San Juan North Secondary School Staff Following Security Incident

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has continued its intervention at the San Juan North Secondary School, with the Victim and Witness Support Unit (VWSU) providing psychosocial support to members of staff following the recent assault and robbery of a teacher on the school compound.

On Monday 21st September, 2026, the VWSU conducted a debriefing session with 30 members of staff, providing them with an opportunity to discuss their concerns, process the impact of the incident and access professional psychosocial support.

The intervention follows a series of engagements involving the TTPS, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Homeland Security and other stakeholders aimed at addressing both the welfare of persons affected by the incident and security concerns at the school.
