FiÂnance MinÂisÂter DavÂenÂdranath TanÂcoo and PlanÂning MinÂisÂter Kennedy SwaratsÂingh both have reÂceived cross-apÂpointÂments as juÂnior minÂisÂters in each othÂer’s minÂistries, in what the GovÂernÂment says is an efÂfort to strengthÂen ecoÂnomÂic coÂorÂdiÂnaÂtion.
AcÂcordÂing to the Trinidad and ToÂbaÂgo Gazette, TanÂcoo was apÂpointÂed MinÂisÂter in the MinÂistry of PlanÂning, EcoÂnomÂic AfÂfairs and DeÂvelÂopÂment with efÂfect from May 15, while SwaratsÂingh was named MinÂisÂter in the MinÂistry of FiÂnance, efÂfecÂtive May 13.
Both men reÂtain their subÂstanÂtive minÂisÂteÂrÂiÂal portÂfoÂlios.
