WHILE some shareholders welcomed the company’s explanation for suspending dividend payments, others questioned whether ANSA McAL might extend the suspension beyond the announced two-year period.
The question was raised during ANSA McAL’s 96th meeting of shareholders and mini-expo at the Hyatt Regency (Trinidad), Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, on Thursday.
Chairman A Norman Sabga addressed the concern directly, stating: “No, there’s no intent to go beyond the two-year period. So, as of now that isn’t a discussion that is on the agenda.”
