REGIONAL Health Authority (RHA) nurses and other monthly paid workers remain on 2013 salaries while their public service counterparts are being brought up to 2019, Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association (TTNNA) president Letitia Cox said yesterday.
Cox, speaking at a joint union news conference yesterday at SWWTU Hall, Port of Spain, said nurses, midwives and other RHA workers were left disappointed after Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo failed to address their outstanding salary negotiations and arrears in the budget.
“I sat down for all of, was it two hours? And I heard nothing. We heard nothing. Nothing was addressed for us,” she said.
