The woman who was taken into police custody following the shooting death of businessman Steve Ghany has been released.
This morning, following a meeting between police officers and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the DPP advised that the woman be released pending further investigations.
Attorney Prakash Ramadhar said, “She has been released on the instructions of the Director of Public Prosecutions. We want to express our gratitude to the investigators and, of course, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. We also want to establish, moving forward, what we can learn from this incident, and I hope in the near future to host a press conference to deal with the issue of domestic violence.”
