Two teenage boys were ar­rest­ed af­ter of­fi­cers re­cov­ered a stolen car and what ap­peared to be po­lice uni­forms and equip­ment in Barataria.

Around 4:30 pm yes­ter­day, po­lice searched a bushy area along Grena­do Street, where they found a plas­tic drum buried in the ground. In­side were three blue tac­ti­cal jack­ets with po­lice patch­es, three pairs of black tac­ti­cal pants, a po­lice cap, and a pair of boots.

Lat­er in the op­er­a­tion, of­fi­cers in­ter­cept­ed a white Nis­san B15 re­port­ed stolen dur­ing a rob­bery. A 16-year-old boy from St Paul Street and a 15-year-old boy from Laven­tille were tak­en in­to cus­tody.
