MINISTER of Health Dr Lackram Bodoe expects to receive a report on May 19, which would detail what is required to get the Couva Children’s Hospital up and running.
Bodoe, speaking to reporters after the Ministry of Health’s education drive at Gulf City Mall on May 16, said he, Minister in the Ministry of Health Dr Rishad Seecheran, ministry officials and Udecott representatives toured the hospital on May 13.
“The purpose of the tour was to really do an assessment of the assets that are there and to do a gap analysis of what is required to make the hospital fully operational. Our preliminary findings were that there were 20 patients I believe in the 230-bed hospital.
