NOT long after the People’s National Movement (PNM) won the 2015 general election, the Couva Children’s Hospital, originally opened under the Kamla Persad-Bissessar People’s Partnership government, was renamed.
Scaffolding was erected at the facility, located off the southbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, and the hospital’s original signage was removed quietly, never to be seen again.
People’s Partnership politicians described the move as an act of political revenge.
