An Arima man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Maria Paul, whose body was found in October last year in the Valencia district.

According to a police media release Tuesday, Omalie Rennie, aka ‘Fari’, ‘Mootie’ and ‘Mali’, 22, was charged with the offence when he appeared before Master Lisa Singh-Phillip, on Friday 25, July 2025. The matter was postponed to September 8, 2025.

Paul, 19, of Bermuda Road, Valencia had gone missing on September 11 last year. According to reports, she was last seen at her boyfriend’s home in the Heights of Aripo, Valencia.
