ELEVEN and a half years after the LifeÂSport programme collapsed amid allegations of rampant corrupÂtion, the Trinidad and TobaÂgo Police Service (TTPS) has secured a production order from the High Court to examÂine the fiÂnancial records and other related documents of 59 companies.
These companies were linked to 104 indiÂviduals connected to the programme during the five-year period between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2015—individuals and entities investigators believe they need to probe to determine if they played a part in bleeding the ill-fated programme of $440 million.
