ELEVEN and a half years after the LifeSport programme collapsed amid allegations of rampant corruption, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has secured a production order from the High Court to examine the financial records and other related documents of 59 companies.
These companies were linked to 104 individuals connected to the programme during the five-year period between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2015—individuals and entities investigators believe they need to probe to determine if they played a part in bleeding the ill-fated programme of $440 million.
Sworn witness statement: Former Ministry of Sport insider Ruth Marchan was heavily involved in the ill-fated LifeSport initiative.
