Family members of hiker Jessica Jordan said that if any good could come from her untimely death, they hoped it would spark “meaningful change”.
Jordan, 41, of Manahambre Road, Ste Madeleine, drowned during a hike on January 10, when she became submerged in the Madamas River after she slipped and got stuck between two logs at the Madamas Gorges.
During her funeral service yesterday, the chapel of Boodoo’s Funeral Home in Penal was filled with family, friends, neighbours and co-workers. Those closest to her said she was deeply loved by all, while her work colleagues described her as a treasured and vibrant team member, whose generosity and helpful nature left a lasting impression.
