THE Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said event promoters have a responsibility to properly manage the scheduling of activities at public events and comply with conditions set out in licences issued by the courts.
Public Information Officer ASP Russell Owie made the statement during a news conference at the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain yesterday, while outlining the TTPS' position on the policing of fetes and other public events.
'The TTPS wishes to advise the public on its position regarding the policing of fetes and other public events. Police officers are deployed at these events to ensure order and public safety,' he said.
