Four-year-old American-bred bay colt RicoRicoRico made light work of Division 1 of the $1.25-million James B Dawes Memorial Trophy on Saturday, May 16, 2026, scoring by 3¼ lengths in a dominant display.
Trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Robert Halledeen, the Win Win Win – Frosty Nightmare colt stopped the clock in 1:00.0 for the 5-furlong straight in the Restricted Overnight Allowance for three-year-olds and upward.
RicoRicoRico broke sharply and settled in third behind Unruly Mo (Raddesh Roman) and Starruara (Tevin Foster). He travelled comfortably throughout, and once Halledeen angled out past the dummy rails, the colt surged to the front and never looked back.
