Mayor of Kingston Andrew Swaby says a controversial billboard recently removed in Rockfort did not have the "required approval" from the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC).
Addressing Tuesday’s monthly meeting of the KSAMC, Swaby said the local authority is not responsible for the approval and regulation of advertising content and artworks displayed on billboard signs.
“Approval from the corporation relates primarily to the specifications of the sign itself, including size, placement, structure, location and compliance with planning and safety requirements,” he said.
