Forty-seven-year-old OāNeil Hunter, a carpenter of Top Pen, St Mary, has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm following an incident at a party in the parish last Thursday. According to reports from the Port Maria police, at 11:30 p.m., a man was among patrons at a party in the Wellington district when he was allegedly approached by Hunter, who reportedly struck him in the mouth with a glass bottle. The man sustained injuries, including the loss of one tooth, as a result of the alleged assault. The matter was reported to the police, and following an investigation, Hunter was arrested and charged after the complainant provided a statement implicating him in the incident. A date for his appearance before the court is being finalised.
