There have been no re­port­ed surges at health fa­cil­i­ties with­in the cen­tral dis­trict the Min­istry of Health has con­firmed in a state­ment.

“Cur­rent da­ta in­di­cate that Ac­ci­dent and Emer­gency De­part­ments at both the Ch­agua­nas and Cou­va Dis­trict Health Fa­cil­i­ties con­tin­ue to op­er­ate with­in nor­mal pa­tient vol­umes, with no un­usu­al in­crease in the num­ber of per­sons ac­cess­ing care,” the Min­istry re­ports.

The Health Min­istry’s state­ment al­so clar­i­fy the sit­u­a­tion in To­ba­go, where the Sec­re­tary for Health has said that fa­cil­i­ties there are in “emer­gency mode”.
