There have been no reported surges at health facilities within the central district the Ministry of Health has confirmed in a statement.
“Current data indicate that Accident and Emergency Departments at both the Chaguanas and Couva District Health Facilities continue to operate within normal patient volumes, with no unusual increase in the number of persons accessing care,” the Ministry reports.
The Health Ministry’s statement also clarify the situation in Tobago, where the Secretary for Health has said that facilities there are in “emergency mode”.
