ST MARY, Jamaica — A male teacher was arrested on Saturday in connection with an illegal firearm and a woman was arrested for assaulting a police constable after a joint Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the Jamaica Defence Force(JDF) operation across Port Maria, Islington and Annotto Bay in St Mary.
Police reports are that the 10-hour operation involved over 100 personnel and targeted criminal activity through search warrants and vehicle checkpoints.
During a search at a premises in Albion Mountain, Port Maria, the police seized a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, several rounds of ammunition, spent casings and a Glock magazine.
