A 34-year-old man died on Saturday after he reportedly got into difficulties while bathing at the Mayaro beach.

The victim, Eeas Ector, of Windy Hill, Arouca, is suspected to have drowned.

Police said that around 4.45 p.m., PC Eccles and other officers responded to a report of a suspected drowning at Maloney East near the Grand Lagoon.
