The police have filed criminal charges against 19 people accused of being members of a deadly gang which they claim wreaked havoc across five parishes over a five-year period ending this year.
The 18 men and one woman are allegedly part of the âGenasyde Gangâ, which the police claim engaged in violent crimes such as murders, shootings and robberies in St James, St Catherine, St Thomas and Kingston and St Andrew. between 2021 and this year.
Among those arrested are Tefari Green, also called âScoobsâ and âScrappyâ, 39, who is charged with the offence of leadership of a criminal organisation and Nicholas Henry, also called âChemistâ, who is charged with providing a benefit to a criminal organisation.
