Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has received the People’s Choice Leader Award at the Caribbean Global Awards held in London, England.

In a video recording from New York addressing the ceremony on Saturday held at the Cumberland Hotel in London, Persad-Bissessar asserted that the award is not only for her “but to all of us who believe that unity is our greatest strength”.

The Prime Minister extended gratitude for the award and apologised for not being present in person, as she was in New York attending the United Nations General Assembly.
