The lead­ers of the two ma­jor po­lit­i­cal par­ties on Thurs­day met for their first head-to-head clash in the fi­nal of three na­tion­al de­bates.

The high-stakes lead­er­ship de­bate be­tween Ja­maica Labour Par­ty (JLP) leader, Prime Min­is­ter Dr An­drew Hol­ness, and the main op­po­si­tion Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Par­ty (PNP) Pres­i­dent, Op­po­si­tion Leader Mark Gold­ing, kicked off with a ques­tion over the rul­ing par­ty’s al­leged pat­tern of un­der­min­ing over­sight bod­ies in the pub­lic sec­tor and civ­il so­ci­ety.

Hol­ness de­nied that his ad­min­is­tra­tion has done any such thing.
