Construction of new Bush Lot Market estimated to cost $1.7B

(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development is preparing to spend approximately $1.7 billion for the construction of a new Bush Lot Market in Region Two.

Bids for the project were recently opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB). The project is divided into three lots.

Based on information provided by NPTAB, Lot 1 is estimated to cost $869,266,358; Lot 2 is $596,460,964; and Lot3 is estimated at $290,786,679, bringing the total amount for the project to $1,756,514,001. Some 28 contractors have submitted bids for the contract.
