Despite an adverse yellow level weather alert, the 58th edition of the Great Race, one of the world’s longest powerboat competitions, got underway on Saturday morning.
The event saw a fleet 27 boats lined up for the 90-mile high-speed journey from Trinidad to Tobago.
One of the longest powerboat races in the world wrote its 58th chapter which began with spectators gathering at the foreshore to witness Saturday’s 2026 Great Race. The race took place at 7:15am on with twenty-seven boats taking part it the 90-mile high speed race from Trinidad to Tobago.
