A 63-year-old man was found murdered at his Uva Drive, Cunupia home on Friday morning, following what police believe was a home invasion.
David Lobin was discovered around 9 a.m. under the stairs of his house by his Venezuelan girlfriend. His hands were bound with tie straps, and the house appeared to have been ransacked, according to police.
Neighbours described Lobin as a friendly handyman who earned a living doing odd jobs in the community. They expressed shock at the murder, noting he did not appear to own much and questioning why he would have been targeted.
