A 19-year-old Venezuelan male was chopped to death early yesterday morning.
He has been identified as Jesus Carlos Sivedre, of 43 A Harmony Hall, Gasparillo.
According to police, Sivedre was at a bar on Leotaud Street in San Fernando with his brother, when at around 4 a.m., he got into an altercation with three Trinidadian men allegedly over women of Venezuelan nationality. The men—two of whom were described to be of Indian origin, both slim built, one with long hair and the other with short hair, and the third described as of African descent—followed Sivedre and his brother. Sivedre, jumped a wall, to escape the men. The three men were then seen entering the premises and later leaving the scene in a silver Nissan wagon.
