A small craft advisory remains in effect for Barbados as strong winds are expected to generate hazardous sea conditions across the island’s marine area.
The Barbados Meteorological Services said the alert covers Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19, with conditions expected to pose risks for marine users.
According to the forecast, surface winds of around 15 to 25 knots (30 to 45 km/h) are expected as a low-level jet affects the region, with sea swells reaching between 1.5 and 2.5 metres in open waters.
