A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect as strong winds continue to affect the island and surrounding marine areas.
The Barbados Meteorological Services issued the update, stating that fresh to strong winds linked to a low-level jet will persist through Sunday and into the early part of the new week. The advisory was extended due to expected hazardous marine conditions.
Sustained winds of 15 to 30 knots (30 to 55 km/h) are forecast over both land and sea areas. Sea swells are expected to remain between 1.5 and 2.5 metres in open waters.
