Anti-kidnapping cops hunt for ‘Maria’

OFFICERS of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit visited Hector Street, La Romaine, yesterday to conduct enquiries into the abduction of a woman during a home invasion in the early hours of Sunday.

Police had also visited the house shortly after the incident in which two masked men robbed the occupants before taking the woman, identified to the police only as “Maria”, away.

When the Express visited the community yesterday morning, neighbours said they had not known about the abduction.
