The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service has advised that a convict escaped from the Golden Grove Prison on Tuesday.
According to a release, the Prison Service stated that at around 5 p.m., Star Convict (a term for first-time offenders) Abraham Briggs escaped legal custody, whilst working at the Youth Training Rehabilitation Centre.
“An alarm was raised and officers attached to the Emergency Response Unit responded. The Arouca Police were also contacted, and a search is currently underway for Briggs, in all the surrounding areas,” the release stated.
