The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service seized more than $1.3 million worth of cannabis and a firearm during an anti-crime operation in Cunupia on Friday.
According to a TTPS media release, officers carried out the intelligence-led exercise under the 2026 State of Emergency Regulations as part of ongoing operations targeting narcotics trafficking, gang violence, illegal firearms and organised criminal activity in Central Division.
Police said officers conducted surveillance and search operations at a house along Rasheed Avenue, Munroe Road, Cunupia, around 8 am after receiving intelligence.
