A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the murder of 62-year-old farmer Clement Mills and the injury of Mills’ wife during a gun attack in St Catherine earlier this month.
The accused, Jamie Stephenson, otherwise called ‘Tutu’, of Mansfield Heights, Ocho Rios, St Ann, has been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, wounding with intent, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
It is alleged that about 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, Mills and his wife were travelling in a 2005 Toyota Lite-Ace van loaded with water they had collected in Lluidas Vale, when a man emerged from bushes along the roadway heading towards Point Hill and opened fire on the vehicle.
