The police hierarchy has described Carnival 2025 as a generally safe event, citing effective security measures and operational successes, despite at least three homicides being recorded between Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
Two road fatalities also occurred.
During a news conference at the Police Administration Building, Edward Street, Port of Spain, yesterday, Acting Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin expressed gratitude to police officers and stakeholders for their role in maintaining security throughout the Carnival period.
