Laventille West MP Kareem Marcelle has described Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s statement that Government will enforce the Special Operations legislation in UNC-controlled areas as “irresponsible” and an attack on citizens’ rights.
He said the legislation must not be applied selectively across the country.
“This is our nation. It is the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is not the Republic of the UNC,” Marcelle said yesterday.
