April 2025 will be re­mem­bered as one of the most con­se­quen­tial months in Trinidad and To­ba­go’s mod­ern po­lit­i­cal his­to­ry. That month saw the for­mal an­nounce­ment of a gen­er­al elec­tion date, an in­tense cam­paign pe­ri­od, and a de­ci­sive shift in po­lit­i­cal pow­er on April 28.
