THE secluded and usually quiet community of La Retreat Extension, Guanapo, Arima, was on Saturday night shaken when gunmen barged into a house in the area and opened fire, killing three people and injuring a six-year-old boy.

More than 12 hours after the murders took place, police were still at the scene interviewing relatives of the victims, while others used drones to obtain aerial views of the area.

The incident that claimed the lives of Ansel James, his sister Anicia James, 47, and her common-law husband Mitchell Francois, 30, occurred around 10.15 p.m.
