Former Minister of Public Utilities Nizam Baksh is urging world leaders to pursue peace, as Muslims in Trinidad and Tobago celebrate Eid following the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking to reporters at the Barrackpore Islamic Centre during his Eid message yesterday, Baksh said the occasion represents a time for unity, reflection and strengthening relationships within communities, describing it as a “binding ingredient” that brings humanity together.
But he warned that ongoing international conflicts, including tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran, continue to cause immense human suffering.
