Fesupo 2026, Chile… Tremel King sets new 105kg M1 DL and Total records

(Kaieteur News) – Guyana ended their 2026 South American Powerlifting Championships campaign with a bang on Saturday evening in Santiago, Chile when the nation’s 105kg Masters 1 duo of Tremel King and Bjorn Williams powered to the overall gold and silver medals.

It was a fabulous international debut for Tremel King who set new deadlift and total records in the process. King’s second deadlift attempt of 300kg and the total of 747.5kg erased the old Fesupo records on a cold Saturday evening at the Estadio Nacional.

King and Williams (total 692.5kg) were first and second from the first squat as neither of their rivals from Uruguay, Chile, Brazil and Argentina were able to challenge for the top two spots overall; Brazil’s Aparecido Alves had to settle for the overall bronze with a total of 675kg.
